Being able to literally oneshot old raidbosses would help with the Glam Storage issues, because I think there's a lot of people holding onto old raid gear because 'itd be hard to reobtain'. The spells are, functionally, already 'spell glamours' of each otherĪlso, if they made it so that while unsync, the extra effects work, then BLU becomes a god of 'old content farming', because you can guarantee the content is old if you're able to unsync it, which means there's no reason to keep bosses immune to instantdeath skills. Yeh there's these tiny things like one blinds and one freezes if the enemy has a water DOT on them or whatever, but that's mainly there for Carnivale, it doesn't matter what you use outside. What's the difference, outside of Carnivale, between Flamethrower, Northerlies, Protean Wave, Ink Jet, The Look? They're all 220p, they're all cones. You're still hunting for spells, they still would have different effects in Carnivale so there's that reason to get them, they'd just function as alternate animations for the base kit spells when not in Carnivale. That'd be shit, cos hunting for spells is the BLU identityīut instead, having a basic spell learned at certain levels/jobquests, with alternative 'spell glamours' as the thing you hunt for, would satisfy both halves of the equation, I think. So everyone thought it was going to be Blue Mage and, while the "Sam Raimi" theory did exist back then it was basically laughed off as a joke theory because "well that's just too convoluted lol" By being attacked by creatures and then getting that creature's power for themselves. Using Spiderman specifically worked as a great misdirection because Spiderman's backstory involves him getting his powers by being bitten by a spider.which is exactly how classic Blue Mages got their spells. In that year's Rising event they left a hint that Blue Mage and Red Mage were being considered as possibilities. The thing that made it a really sneaky tactic is that they'd actually left a really big red herring to distract us before that. "Sam Raimi" when pronounced in Japanese syllables is said as "sa-mu-rai-mee." Just take out the last syllable and you get "sa-mu-rai." Pretty sure Yoshi-P himself confirmed it was the hint he was going for. Spiderman movies made by Sam Rammi = Samurai was the theory I heard This will display as: Hildibrand is my hero.If you're posting a submission with spoilers in the body or potentially comments, click "spoiler" after you've submitted it.If you're unsure if something is a spoiler, spoiler tag it just to be safe.Nov 20 - Nov 27: Cloud Data Center Stress Test.Oct 31 - Dec 31: Fall Guys Collaboration Event.Fanworks must be credited to the author, not be rehosted without permission, not advertise artists for profit.Avoid these restricted types of posts: Repetitive / Definitive FAQ.Parts of the FFXIV User Agreement are enforced.Be civil and respectful, no name shaming.Subreddit Legend: Posting Rules: ( full list) Actions Taken Against In-Game RMT & Other Illicit Activities (Nov.
